About The Position

Wingate University is a teaching-focused institution serving over 3,600 students across two campuses. The Cannon College of Arts and Sciences at Wingate University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Instructor position in History to start August 1, 2026. This is a teaching position in the discipline of History with no research expectations and minimal service obligations. The teaching load is four courses (12 contact hours) in both the fall and spring semesters. Requirements

• Terminal degree in History.
• Teaching experience in History.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

• Interest and experience teaching general education courses.
• Candidates broadly trained in World History.
