About The Position

The Dwyer School of Health Sciences Division of Radiography and Medical Imaging invites applicants for a full-time 11-month non-tenure track Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor faculty position. This full-time position requires delivery of online and on-campus didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction in the BS in Medical Imaging Technology program. This position will be responsible for collaborating with other regional Indiana University campuses to create a primary pathway for an ultrasound program to be housed at Indiana University South Bend. The Division of Radiologic Sciences provides high-quality education, clinical experiences, and collaborative opportunities to undergraduate students for future roles as imaging technologists. The program is committed to excellence in the theory and practice of medical imaging and the development of competent, socially sensitive, and ethically responsible professionals.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • ARDMS certification in at least one specialty (Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular Technology).
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Experience with online and/or hybrid instruction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral degree in a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience at the university level.
  • Experience with curriculum development.
  • Experience with accreditation processes (e.g., JRCERT, CAAHEP).

Responsibilities
