About The Position

The College of Business at Louisiana Tech University invites applications for an Advanced Visiting Assistant Professor. This is a full-time, temporary, non-tenure-track position for a 9-month academic appointment, typically for one year. The position supports instructional and research needs within the College.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or terminal degree in a business-related discipline
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Minimum 3 years full-time faculty experience

  • Experience in AACSB-accredited programs

Responsibilities

  • Ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate business courses (e.g., International/Global Marketing, Services Marketing, Principles of Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, Consumer Behavior, and Quantitative Methods)
  • Develop course materials, syllabi, and assessments
  • Deliver engaging, applied instruction using case studies and experiential learning
  • Evaluate student performance and maintain academic standards
  • Hold regular office hours and provide academic support
  • Advise and mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students
  • Support student success and career development
  • Assist with recruitment and retention efforts
  • Engage in scholarly or professional activities appropriate to the discipline
  • Maintain current knowledge in field of expertise
  • Participate in limited service such as departmental meetings and program support
