About The Position

The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Texas invites applications to fill a 3-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall 2027. The teaching commitment is two courses in the first year, and three courses in the second and third year. Successful candidates are expected to conduct research and will be paired with faculty mentors with whom they have compatible research interests. Candidates in all areas of pure and applied Mathematics are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, or be expected to complete their Ph.D. by August 2027.
  • Candidates with equivalent applied experience that meets faculty credentialing guidelines will also be considered.
  • Submit a minimum of two professional references as part of their application.
