About The Position

Requirements

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years post-MSW social work practitioner experience.
  • One (1) year teaching experience in social work education (full-time or part-time) in asynchronous programs.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CSWE required competency-based learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral degree in Social Work.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in social work education, teaching asynchronously.
  • Experience with online learning management systems, education platforms and technologies.
  • Clinical social work licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  • Practice experience within one (1) or more of the following areas: Medical/hospital social work, Aging, palliative care, rehabilitation, Community health, Community mental health, Behavioral health and integrated systems, Healthcare evaluation and management, Policy and advocacy work.
  • Demonstrated experience in online curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Experience in academic advising and student support services.
  • Proven knowledge of accreditation standards and processes for social work programs.
  • Experience with online pedagogy and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Responsibilities

  • Teach social work courses in an asynchronous online format.
