About The Position

The Visitation & Parenting Services Manager is responsible for coordinating visitation and parenting services through the assistance of the program staff and administrative assistant. This position involves discussing behavioral observations and providing information, support, and feedback to parents regarding successful visits. The manager provides supervision, direction, and oversight to all VPS staff and is responsible for requesting and processing new service referrals. All duties must be performed with trauma-informed care principles. The role includes providing therapeutic supervision of parent/child interactions, according to court orders and other relevant agreements, including observation, modeling appropriate behaviors, and strategic interventions as needed. The manager also provides billable service on a weekly basis as needed and transportation for children and families to and from supervised visits as needed. Interventions are made, when appropriate, to ensure the safety and welfare of the child with trauma-informed, culturally competent principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Training and experience in supervised visitation services or related services required
  • Experience working with children in a care-giving role required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have own transportation
  • Vehicle must be equipped with seat belts and in good repair and must meet the local standards for children under four years of age or under 40 pounds
  • Must have valid driver’s license, current registration, and proof of insurance on vehicle being used
  • Must consent to a check of his/her driving record annually
  • Excellent driving record required, including no record of impaired driving
