Requirements

  • Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screen completed within the past 12 months
  • Access to a reliable and insured vehicle
  • A valid driver’s license and ability/willingness to travel within Simcoe and surrounding areas
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • 2 Step TB Test completed within the past 12 months (or willing to obtain)
  • CPR Level C/BLS
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to work 3-5 days per week plus every third weekend, as well as participate in an after-hours on call rotation

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to communicate in French or other languages is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Make a difference in the lives of people within their homes, clinics and other community locations.
  • Apply clinical skills in areas such as wound care, IV therapy, tube feeding and medication administration, palliative care, paediatric care as well as health teaching.
  • Utilize a person and family centered approach to care to guide decision making and facilitate collaborative care with each member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Receive mentorship and support from managers and peers for ongoing development and clinical excellence.
  • Support the larger health system through home health care, and demonstrate confidence in navigating clients and families to other resources to help them meet their goals.
