About The Position

CBI Home Health supports people at home and in the community. We are one of Canada’s leading specialized community services, home and integrated care providers, operating in more than 800 communities across the country. Our teams work together to deliver the right care at the right time, helping people live safely, independently, and with dignity. We are looking for a Visit Nurse in Hagersville and surrounding areas. This is a full-time role with 70 hours every 2 weeks and every 3rd weekend.

Requirements

Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
Clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screen completed within the past 12 months
Access to a reliable and insured vehicle
A valid driver’s license and ability/willingness to travel within Hagersville and surrounding areas
Professional Liability Insurance
2 Step TB Test completed within the past 12 months (or willing to obtain)
CPR Level C/BLS
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Ability to work 3-5 days per week plus every third weekend, as well as participate in an after-hours on call rotation

Nice To Haves

Ability to communicate in French or other languages is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Make a difference in the lives of people within their homes, clinics and other community locations.
Apply clinical skills in areas such as wound care, IV therapy, tube feeding and medication administration, palliative care, paediatric care as well as health teaching.
Utilize a person and family centered approach to care to guide decision making and facilitate collaborative care with each member of the interdisciplinary team.
Receive mentorship and support from accessible managers and peers for ongoing development and clinical excellence.
Support the larger health system through home health care and demonstrate confidence in navigating clients and families to other resources to help them meet their goals.
