About The Position

The contractor shall provide IT Infrastructure support services, which includes Tier 1 Help Desk, Tier 2 End User Support, Tier 3 Server, Platform, and Network Infrastructure Support and Engineering. Services shall include, but are not limited to, technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues; incident and problem resolution; service request management; infrastructure monitoring and support; hardware and software lifecycle support; and management of escalation across all tiers. Manage and maintain the virtualized IT infrastructure to ensure its stability, performance, and security. Administer on-prem and cloud hosted environments, resolving virtualization-related issues, and supporting NCUA IT initiatives. Oversight of on-prem hardware infrastructure (e.g., servers and storage), the on-prem hypervisor environment (e.g., VMWare, vSphere), and CSP infrastructure hosted in Microsoft Azure. Contributes to the automation of infrastructure deployment and the integration of IaC into CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3-5 yrs experience in virtualization administration, with a focus on VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies.
Demonstrated experience in managing and troubleshooting VMware vSphere environments.
Supporting virtualization infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
Automating IT administration and server provisioning using tools such as: Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure Automation, Azure CLI, PowerShell and VMWare PowerCLI, Terraforms or similar IaC tools.
Integrating infrastructure management tools with APIs to enable deployment of Infrastructure as Code integrated into CI/CD deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities
