About The Position

The Virtual Telemetry Monitor Technician works in the Centralized Monitoring Virtual Department at Texas Health Plano. This is a full-time night position, 36 hours a week, with three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including rotating weekends. Texas Health Plano is a 386-bed, full-service hospital serving communities in North Texas, known for its advanced technology and dedicated team. The hospital offers a range of specialties and is undergoing expansion with a new patient tower and renovations. It holds designations such as Level II Trauma Facility, Level IV NICU and Level IV Maternal Facility, DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Primary Heart Attack Center. Requirements

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
Basic Understanding/ability to learn medical terminology

Nice To Haves

1 year of telemetry monitoring is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.
Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.
Serves as a patient advocate.
Assists with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements.
