About The Position
Virtual Telemetry Monitor Technician – Centralized Monitoring Virtual Department. This role is part of a Fortune's Great Places to Work, with a Shared Governance Model and the possibility of annual success sharing should metrics be achieved. The position is PRN for night shifts.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
- Basic Understanding/ability to learn medical terminology
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of telemetry monitoring is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
- Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
- Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.
- Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.
- Serves as a patient advocate.
- Assists with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements.
