About The Position

Edmentum is seeking a Virtual Spanish Teacher to deliver live, synchronous, on-camera instruction to students. This role is crucial for providing flexible learning environments and ensuring students feel seen, supported, and motivated. The ideal candidate thrives in a digital environment and believes in the power of live teaching, regardless of the medium. This is a Remote First position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Active state teaching license in Minnesota and/or Kansas in Global Languages: Spanish grades 6-12.
  • Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings.
  • Comfortable with the unique demands of a live online classroom.
  • Confident and engaging on camera, able to teach live for five (5) or more consecutive hours per day, every instructional day, and build real connection with students through a screen.
  • Hands-on experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.
  • Ability to read student performance data and use it to adjust live instruction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with time management skills to independently manage a full student caseload in a remote environment.
  • Committed to own professional growth, maintaining certification and staying current on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.
  • Integrity, warmth, and a deep belief that every student can succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours per day, every scheduled instructional day, creating an engaging and structured virtual classroom experience that inspires student participation and achievement.
  • Use student performance data to personalize instruction, identify learning gaps, and adapt your approach to meet each student where they are.
  • Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work and maintain accurate records that keep students and families informed and on track.
  • Build genuine relationships with students and families through professional, proactive communication that fosters trust and shared accountability for learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality support across their learning experience.
  • Willingness to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.
