About The Position

The Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) Global Labor Time department is seeking a Virtual Labor Time Study Author to join their team. This role is responsible for creating virtual labor time studies using virtual, CAD data, and hands-on vehicle markups. The author will create studies using currently timed steps along with virtual and CAD tools, working daily with TeamCenter and Excel-based studies. This position involves collaboration with other teams such as the Mechanical Service Information Team and Global Warranty Team on special projects, serving as the single point of contact for labor time publication-related issues, and global coordination to share best practices and implement learnings/tools. The role also includes process development and execution, and the creation and communication of metrics.

Requirements

  • Strong automotive technical knowledge
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Products
  • High Initiative
  • Ability to analyze data (See trends, use for decision making)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively or independently in a production-based environment with alignment to delivery schedule timing.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year associate degree in automotive field or combination of equivalent training and relevant automotive experience
  • Service Information or Labor Time Study Authoring experience
  • Experience working in an independent or dealership service department
  • Hands on experience with a vehicle
  • Understanding of Flat-Rate and Labor Times
  • Data Analytic Experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience communicating with global teams.

Responsibilities
