About The Position

This role is for a Virtual Design & Construction Technician in the Virtual Design & Construction department at Miron Construction Co., Inc. The position is full-time, exempt, and reports to the Virtual Design & Construction Manager, Preconstruction. The technician will execute Virtual Design & Construction services and support the VDC Managers with initiatives, research, and development of improved processes through technology. They will also assist project teams using BIM technology and maintain quality standards.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Architecture, Construction, or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk AEC Suite, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Good communication skills with a desire to mentor and lead other professionals at both a personal and team level.
• Self-motivated to continuously improve with a desire to learn new and better tools and processes.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and commitment to finding new solutions that better serve Miron’s workforce.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum two years of industry experience and/or an emphasis on BIM is preferred.
• Efficiency in other BIM software experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Virtual Design & Construction services including but not limited to: Site Logistics, Sequence and Duration, 4D, 5D Quantity take-off, Design Reviews, Animations, Rendering, Virtual Reality, Asset Management, Digital Twin, Drawing Creation, 3D Modeling, BIM Coordination, Drone, and Install Verification.
• Support the Virtual Design & Construction Managers with initiatives.
• Support the Virtual Design & Construction Managers with the research and development of improved processes through the utilization of technology.
• Assist Project teams using BIM technology.
• Maintain quality and standards of executed VDC services set forth by Virtual Design & Construction Leads.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
