About The Position
The Senior Virtual Design Construction Specialist will lead BIM/VDC coordination for assigned construction projects, ensuring models meet project requirements and company standards. This role involves assembling, managing, and maintaining coordinated 3D models using content from design partners and subcontractors. The specialist will analyze construction documents and BIM models to identify and resolve conflicts, omissions, and constructability issues. Responsibilities include performing clash detection, coordinating resolutions, and incorporating design revisions to maintain accurate project models throughout the construction lifecycle. Additionally, the role provides BIM technical support and training to project teams, supports RFIs and documentation, and collaborates with various stakeholders to improve coordination and project execution. The specialist will also support field layout, self-perform construction modeling, laser scanning, and digital construction workflows, while promoting continuous improvement of BIM processes and strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2+ years of construction experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of BIM/VDC coordination experience.
- Experience working for a medium to large commercial general contractor preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and coordination workflows.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Technical Skills: Autodesk Revit (Architecture, Structure, MEP), Autodesk Navisworks Manage (Clash Detection), Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, Autodesk AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, BIM Coordination & Model Management, Construction Document Review, VDC/BIM Execution Planning, Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice To Haves

- Knowledge of Lean construction principles
- Experience with Tekla Structures or Trimble Field Layout solutions is a plus.
Responsibilities

- Support field layout, self-perform construction modeling, laser scanning, and digital construction workflows as applicable.
- Promote continuous improvement of BIM processes, standards, and project delivery strategies.
