About The Position

Whiting-Turner seeks a self-motivated, energetic, dynamic, confident, and tech-savvy professional passionate about creating virtual building efficiencies in the construction industry. The role leads the Virtual Building process and supports construction projects through model review, coordination, visualization, field installation, and closeout. The position is for opportunities in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Tulsa.

The manager reviews design-intent models for constructability; manages and reviews subcontractor fabrication BIMs to support 3D coordination, clash detection, shop drawing production, and prefabrication; and uses coordinated models to support field installation and as-built model delivery at project closeout. The role also tests software and technologies, recommends project-specific solutions, manages subcontractors, and runs effective meetings. The position involves both collaboration on larger projects and independent work, while managing multiple parallel deliverables.

Requirements

• On-the-job experience with BIM/VDC applications and processes.
• Extensive knowledge of construction and the built environment.
• Proficiency in reading construction drawings and understanding specifications, building codes, and other technical data.
• Excellent general computing skills.
• Understanding of cloud-based file sharing.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Revit, and SketchUp.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated, energetic, detail-oriented, and open-minded.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-discipline teams.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Strong time-management skills.
• Creative, innovative, curious, and forward-thinking approach.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to one or more of the following software packages is strongly encouraged: Tekla, AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, CAD-Duct, CAD-Mech, Assemble, Revitzo, Synchro, Fuzor, and Solibri.

Responsibilities
