Virtual Construction Intern
About The Position
The Virtual Construction Intern will gain hands-on experience on real projects, develop in-demand skills through mentorship and PCL’s College of Construction, and build connections through inclusive student and networking events. This internship offers clear career pathways to full-time roles. The intern will contribute to the team by building virtual models from plans, specifications and elevations with direct supervision, collaborating with the project team on the development of construction site logistics models, assisting with model updates, and supporting the project team in the creation and processing of RFIs. The role also involves promoting the use of virtual construction tools and processes to project staff, sharing new technologies with project teams, seeking to drive adoption of PCL technologies through operational processes, and potential research and development opportunities. Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry such as construction management, construction engineering, or construction technology.
- A desire to pursue a career in the construction industry
- Available to work in Denver, CO, full time from May to August
- Willing to temporarily relocate to project locations
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver’s License
- Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party
Responsibilities
- Builds virtual models from plans, specifications and elevations with direct supervision.
- Collaborates with the project team on the development of construction site logistics models.
