About The Position

This position serves as the technical source of modeling information for various projects. The role requires thorough knowledge of construction documents, specifications, and shop drawings. The Virtual Construction Engineer creates 3D, 4D, and 5D models for projects and performs the primary responsibilities of a Virtual Construction Technician. The job description may change at any time and may include other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience reading blueprints and specifications.
• At least 3 years of experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and CPM scheduling software.
• A four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
• At least 4 years of construction experience.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models of architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
• Maintain model libraries using correct Uniformat or Masterformat codes.
• Participate in activities supporting the company's strategic planning efforts.
• Perform all primary job responsibilities of a Virtual Construction Technician.
• Review bid scope documents to ensure appropriate BIM language based on project delivery type and BIM deliverables.
• Train virtual construction technicians in the use of company-approved software.
• Virtually walk through models and identify elements that are out of place.
