About The Position

The Virtual Construction Engineer I serves as the technical source of modeling information for projects and requires thorough knowledge of construction documents, specifications, and shop drawings. The role creates 3D, 4D, and 5D models for projects, supports company strategic planning, and helps ensure BIM scopes and model content align with project requirements. The position also trains Virtual Construction Technicians in approved software and performs the primary responsibilities of a Virtual Construction Technician.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of blueprint and specification reading experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and/or CPM scheduling software.
• A four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
• At least 4 years of construction experience.
• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Ability to comply with all safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models of architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
• Maintain model libraries using correct Uniformat or Masterformat codes.
• Participate in activities supporting the company's strategic planning efforts.
• Perform all primary job responsibilities of a Virtual Construction Technician.
• Review bid-scope documents for appropriate BIM language based on project delivery type and BIM deliverables.
• Train Virtual Construction Technicians in the use of company-approved software.
• Virtually walk through models and identify elements that are out of place.
