About The Position

The Virtual Care RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to various patient populations. This includes utilizing monitoring, assessment, planning, intervention, and critical thinking skills to care for acute care patient populations. The role involves navigating patients and families across the continuum, mobilizing resources for rapid and timely movement of the patient across care settings, and providing evidence-based, patient-centered assessment, medication management, care coordination, education, discharge planning, and interventions for diverse patient populations and clinical conditions. The role also ensures compliance with documentation and reporting requirements for Sentinel Events and Serious Incidents, as well as compliance with regulatory, department, channel, state, and federal requirements. This position is located on-site at Texas Health Dallas.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma, Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
3 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire
CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Every 2 years. Obtains within 30 Days
Able to promote patient safety and a positive patient experience
Flexible and comfortable with a changing and dynamic work environment and schedule across all days
Team player who also works well independently
Participates in ongoing learning and continuing education to care for a variety of patient populations

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree Nursing is required Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing is preferred
8 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting; preferred
PCU or ICU experience is preferred
Experience in inpatient adult acute care (not procedure areas, not neonates) is strongly preferred.
