About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers for a special case involving transfers and dementia care. Caregivers provide one-to-one in-home assistance to aging adults, supporting their personal care, household needs, transportation, and companionship. The role requires strong physical stamina and professional caregiving experience. Open availability is requested, and all shifts are currently available. Full-time and part-time schedules are offered. The listed pay for this special case is $23 per hour; the posting also describes general caregiver starting rates of $18.50 per hour. TheKey describes itself as the largest provider of private-pay in-home care for aging seniors in North America. Its local teams support caregivers as they help aging adults maintain quality of life. Qualified caregivers may often begin work within 3–5 days after orientation. Employment is subject to applicable eligibility and state background-screening requirements.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
HCA registration with the State of California; the employer can help obtain registration upon hire, subject to state background requirements.
Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Strong physical stamina.
Must meet applicable state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Assist clients one-to-one in their homes with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Provide light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments and assist with errands and grocery shopping.
Provide companionship through games, puzzles, and other activities offering social and emotional support.
Provide care involving transfers and dementia care for the special case.
