About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a violin teacher to teach and inspire students through private music lessons. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, and helps learners grow their musical abilities. The role includes building positive relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and partnering with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The position is part-time and located in Monroe, New York. Pay is listed as $16 per hour for non-teaching time and $10.50–$21 per hour for teaching time, depending on background and experience. Musician employees may use gig leave to take time off to perform and return to their jobs afterward. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
Two years of music teaching experience, especially with violin.

Nice To Haves

Further teaching experience with related instruments.
Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including violin and other listed instruments.
