About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Engineer to join their team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The role involves supporting requirements analysis, solution design, implementation, troubleshooting, and transition services for video teleconferencing and multimedia technologies across the ICE enterprise. The engineer will design and engineer technical solutions that integrate with appropriate hosting environments and comply with ICE and DHS architecture, security, hosting, and infrastructure standards. They will evaluate new technologies, perform end-to-end troubleshooting, and design, implement, configure, and support Unified Endpoint Mobility solutions. The position also includes analyzing, evaluating, testing, and supporting emerging technologies, developing standardization procedures, gathering technical and operational requirements, and collaborating with various teams for successful implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of experience, Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience, or a High School diploma/equivalent and 4 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust.
  • Must have experience troubleshooting video teleconferencing, multimedia, or related audiovisual technologies.
  • Experience designing, implementing, configuring, or supporting endpoint firewalls and Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).

  • Experience supporting video teleconferencing and multimedia technologies within a large enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer technical solutions for ICE that integrate with the appropriate hosting environments and comply with ICE and DHS architecture, security, hosting, and infrastructure standards.
  • Evaluate new technologies and ensure solutions align with ICE enterprise architecture and the ICE OCIO Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) process.
  • Perform end to end troubleshooting of video teleconferencing and multimedia systems to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues.
  • Design, implement, configure, and support Unified Endpoint Mobility solutions across multiple environments, including highly available configurations.
  • Analyze, evaluate, test, and support emerging video, multimedia, networking, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Develop and standardize installation, configuration, training, and quality assurance procedures for new infrastructure engineering projects and technologies.
  • Gather technical and operational requirements and use those requirements to design, engineer, and deploy endpoint firewalls and Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, security, and program teams to support the successful implementation and transition of new technologies into the production environment.
