Performs studio production tasks, including setting up and operating lighting, audio, camera and teleprompter equipment, as well as directing talent on set. Produces graphics, motion design elements, simulations and multimedia assets (audio / video files, etc.) for education products and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish project goals, create storyboards, and design and refine animations. Use creativity and artistic techniques to tell a story or provide information in visual form. Create voiceover when needed. Skilled collaborator working with management, cross-functional and remote teams to schedule and maximize use of the LV studio. Manage and maintain studio space and equipment. Comfortable directing talent in a video studio. Works with internal IT to manage large media storage and backup. Responsible for editing and assembling learning assets into a suitable, finished product ready for publishing. Assets may include screen recordings, photos, camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, animation, and special effects. Edits video into appropriate length and matches to correct topic / other collateral. Creates and ensures adherence to video development guidelines, templates, style guides, production quality across education products. Skilled collaborator working with cross-functional and remote teams. Manage project assets from capture/creation through archiving. Remain current with film/video industry best practices for all aspects of production and suggest important processes or technology adoptions. Work closely with management to align on project roadmap and deliverables. Understanding of animation, storytelling, and character development techniques. Research industry trends and developments and learn new applications.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in communication design, Multimedia Studies, Computer Animation, Fine Arts, Film, or related field (or foreign equivalent) and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, as Video Editor, Creative Director, Television Producer, Video Editor, or a related occupation.
  • Use of After Effects or similar software
  • Use of digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Premiere Pro, Audition and Photoshop)
  • Ability with color grading, chroma keying and an excellent sense of pace and timing
  • Editing education videos, training videos or video tutorials
