About The Position

The Volume is seeking a creative content producer/director to produce a new music podcast distributed across major audio and video platforms. The role is based in person in the New York/New Jersey area, with full-time or contractor/freelancer opportunities. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of current and classic pop music, experience creating engaging content, and deep experience with YouTube content and strategy. Compensation is subject to experience and location; published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases or bonus eligibility.

Requirements

• Strong passion for music and working knowledge of classic and current artists.
• Experience producing and managing A-list talent.
• High proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
• Ability to handle basic shooting and lighting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A strong eye for top-performing content.
• Experience creating YouTube content and executing YouTube strategy.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Adobe After Effects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with show hosts to prepare timely, relevant show topics and rundowns ahead of recordings.
• Manage recording schedules for cast and crew.
• Communicate daily with the Head of Content about high-level notes and takeaways.
• Record ad reads and organize sales content.
• Resolve basic technology issues on site.
• Post content across X, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Help manage the YouTube channel by posting videos, writing titles, and designing thumbnails.
• Coordinate regularly with the Head of Digital on data tracking, trends, and strategy.
• Handle sales requests involving shooting, editing, and producing content.
