About The Position

As the Video Producer at Playground, you will own long-form video content end-to-end, including launch videos, founder narratives, keynote content, and customer stories that define how our company is seen and understood. From creative brief through final delivery, you will be the single point of ownership — shaping narrative, directing shoots, guiding post-production, and managing the full production lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of creative and production leadership. You will help shape company messaging and product positioning through video, while also owning video’s contribution to demand generation through launch films, top-of-funnel storytelling, and sales enablement content.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in video production, directing, or producing, with a strong portfolio of long-form executive or launch content
  • Experience working in-house at a SaaS or technology company, or at an agency supporting tech clients
  • Strong storytelling ability, with experience translating complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with executives, creatives, and cross-functional teams
  • Deep understanding of the full video production lifecycle, from pre-production through final delivery
  • Strong project management skills, including timelines, budgets, and stakeholder coordination
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Proven experience leading production crews and making creative decisions in high-stakes environments

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with cinematography, camera work, or editing
  • Experience directing launch videos, keynote presentations, or product announcement films
  • Experience building a video production function from the ground up
  • Familiarity with motion graphics, animation, or mixed-media production

Responsibilities

  • Own video’s contribution to demand generation pipeline, including MQL and opportunity targets
  • Direct long-form executive video end-to-end, including launch films, founder narratives, keynote content, and customer stories
  • Develop creative concepts, treatments, and narrative arcs that translate product, executive POV, and customer outcomes into compelling stories
  • Manage video production from start to finish, including timelines, budgets, vendors, and stakeholder alignment
  • Lead on-set production, including crew coordination, scheduling, and talent management
  • Build and maintain a scalable library of video assets for marketing, sales, and customer experience teams
  • Establish repeatable production processes and playbooks that scale output while maintaining quality and consistency
