About The Position

Rain Delay Media is an award-winning production company powering sports' biggest athletes and creators across YouTube, podcasts and social media, including Road Trippin'with Richard Jefferson, Kendrik Perkins & Channing Frye,The Schultz Report with Jordan Schultz & Keyshawn Johnson, and Club 30 with Henrik Lundqvist.

Road Trippin’ is starting a new weekly podcast hosted by Zack Martin (former NFL All-Pro offensive lineman, Dallas Cowboys) and Tyler Eifert (former NFL tight end, Cincinnati Bengals & Jacksonville Jaguars). As brothers-in-law who played college football together at Notre Dame, the show blends in-depth football analysis with authentic personal storytelling—hunting trips, family life, golf battles, business ventures, and the real lives of ex-athletes. Distributed across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and socials, this new show is building an audience who value insider perspective, vulnerability, and genuine chemistry over celebrity posturing.

Rain Delay is seeking a Video Producer to shepherd every episode from concept through final delivery. This is a hands-on role working to build rundowns, coordinate guests, manage production logistics, and oversee editorial quality. You'll work alongside the hosts and production crew (in-person), as well as with an editor and publishing team (remote). Requirements

• 3+ years producing weekly podcasts, talk shows, or live productions for recognized networks, platforms, or media brands
• Proven track record directing hosts on-set or in-studio—managing talent, maintaining energy, and ensuring professional output
• Strong understanding of podcast formats, audience discovery, and what drives clip virality on YouTube and social media
• Deep sports knowledge—you understand football (NFL and college), can follow game analysis, and know the difference between credible takes and amateur hour
• Strong creative instincts—you know what makes a story land, can identify the best moment in a 50-minute conversation, and understand pacing
• Clear, confident communicator who can work with ex-athletes, remote guests, editors, and exec producers without creating bottlenecks
• Ability to build and maintain detailed production calendars, guest databases, and rundown templates
• Willingness to work flexible hours—recording sessions may extend past 5pm or occur on weekends depending on guest availability and football schedule
• Self-directed problem-solver who thrives in a small team with shared creative vision
• Genuine passion for football, hunting, golf, storytelling, and authentic conversation

Responsibilities

• Generate and pitch weekly episode concepts and guest targets in alignment with football calendar and personal story arcs
• Develop recurring segment formats and evolve show's creative identity over time
• Build and refine detailed episode rundowns before each recording
• Identify clip and social media opportunities from raw recordings to maximize reach and engagement
• Partner with marketing and partnerships teams on branded content integrations and ad placement
• Own production calendar across full season: manage schedules, guest placement, crew calls, and recording dates
• Prepare detailed episode rundowns each week: segment breakdown, talking points, guest research, time cues, and technical notes
• Coordinate guest booking and rescheduling
• Run pre-production meetings with hosts and producers to align on episode direction, story pulls, and guest talking points before recording
• Direct recording sessions: maintain pacing, call segment transitions, manage energy, and ensure story moments land
• Coordinate footage delivery from on-site production crew to remote editing and publishing team
• Keep show consistent in tone, format, and feel across episodes
• Review rough cuts and rough mixes; provide detailed editorial notes to editors
• Manage asset requests: graphics, thumbnails, and visual elements for each episode
• Oversee publishing cadence across all distribution channels—ensure episodes and clips release on schedule
• Monitor episode flow and pacing—ensure football segment is credible and specific, "related" segment is personal and vulnerable
• Maintain editorial standards: fact-check football analysis, ensure guest stories are compelling, flag anything that doesn't land
• Suggest format tweaks or guest topics based on performance data and audience feedback
