About The Position

Video has become an increasingly popular and effective method of communication. The role of an in-house videographer/photographer is vital in keeping our messages consistent and accessible for the many different audiences that interact with Children's Mercy. The videographer/photographer reduces the need for outside production of video and still photographs, reducing cost and increasing efficiency and timeliness of production. This position is responsible for strategic concept develop, production planning, content creation, post production including editing and finishing, file management, and responsible for proper rights/release management for talent and locations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years experience Video production/photography in a marketing or advertising agency or
  • HS diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years experience Prior experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-brand creative video and photography solutions deliver high quality work.
  • Execute photo and video shoots interacting with patients and staff in a positive productive manner while delivering high quality engaging content. Create video and photography in supports of news stories, consumer marketing, physician marketing and philanthropy. Additionally, manage the editing and finishing process. Making sure that files are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Plan photo and video shoots. Detailing costs, timeline, resources needed, and overall logistics to complete the shoot in a timely manner while delivering high quality output.
  • Videographer will be the hospital staff responsible for management of the in-house studio and video and photo archive. He/she will assist other Communications Marketing staff members in the archiving, tracking and locating of needed video or photo assets.
  • Photos sessions of hospital staff and other still photographs needed to enhance hospital publications, the public Web site and Intranet and other uses.
