About The Position

Lessen is seeking a creative and resourceful Video & Motion Designer to join their Brand team within Marketing. This role is responsible for the entire video production process, from concept to final delivery, creating a variety of content including brand films, campaign creative, product demos, customer stories, social media videos, commercials, and more. A significant aspect of the role involves making software and technology concepts visually clear and engaging, utilizing tools like Figma to animate product interfaces and workflows. The ideal candidate is a strong visual storyteller, comfortable working with diverse media, including AI-generated video, and capable of translating complex technical information into accessible content.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in video editing, motion design, video production, multimedia design, or a related creative discipline.
  • A strong portfolio or reel demonstrating sophisticated motion graphics, editing, visual storytelling, and digital video work.
  • B2B technology, SaaS, or enterprise technology experience required.
  • Strong motion-design capabilities and a solid understanding of animation principles, pacing, transitions, typography, hierarchy, and composition.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Proficiency with Figma, including the ability to independently navigate product design files, pull assets, modify UI elements, prepare screens for animation, and recreate or adapt interface elements when needed.
  • Demonstrated experience creating software/product animations, product demos, or UI-driven videos.
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI for video production required.
  • Experience with current generative video and creative AI platforms such as Runway, Kling, Veo, Sora, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or comparable tools.
  • Strong visual storytelling instincts and the ability to determine what should be shown, animated, simplified, or removed to make a story land.
  • Ability to work from a loose brief and develop a creative approach.
  • Strong script, storyboard, and concept-development skills.
  • Ability to understand complex technology and translate it into content that feels accessible, modern, and human.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly around UI accuracy, timing, typography, brand consistency, and production quality.
  • Strong project-management and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-moving marketing organization.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback, iterating quickly, and collaborating with creative and non-creative stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience filming and directing interviews, testimonials, events, or lightweight live-action productions.
  • Experience with cameras, lighting, audio, and basic on-location production.
  • Experience working with product marketing teams on software launches and feature storytelling.
  • Familiarity with 3D, compositing, or tools such as Cinema 4D or Blender.
  • Experience creating reusable motion-design systems or branded video toolkits.
  • Familiarity with property technology, field service management, facilities management, real estate technology, or related industries.

Responsibilities

  • Concept, design, edit, and produce video content across the Lessen brand, including brand and corporate storytelling, integrated marketing campaigns, product launches and promotional videos, product demos and feature walkthroughs, social and paid media content, customer testimonials and case studies, event and sales content, commercial and digital advertising, and internal and executive communications.
  • Create sophisticated motion graphics, kinetic typography, animated data visualizations, transitions, and branded visual systems.
  • Turn product experiences into compelling video by working directly with Figma files and product UI, adapting screens and assets for storytelling.
  • Animate product interfaces, workflows, dashboards, mobile experiences, and feature interactions.
  • Partner with Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Social, Product Design, and other teams to translate business goals into strong creative concepts.
  • Help develop scripts, storyboards, treatments, visual concepts, and narrative structures.
  • Translate complex SaaS, AI, and property-operations concepts into concise, visually compelling stories.
  • Use generative AI video tools as part of the production workflow, including creating and refining prompts, generating scenes and visual assets, and iterating toward usable outputs.
  • Identify the most effective media mix (AI-generated footage, stock footage, live action, product UI, animation, or a hybrid approach) for projects.
  • Edit interviews, customer stories, event footage, and other live-action content into polished narratives.
  • Create multiple cuts and adaptations of content for various channels (LinkedIn, paid social, websites, sales presentations, events).
  • Source and work with music, stock footage, photography, voiceover, sound effects, and other production assets.
  • Maintain strong visual and motion consistency with Lessen’s evolving brand system.
  • Develop reusable motion templates, animation systems, transitions, and production workflows.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate clearly about timelines, priorities, dependencies, and production needs.
  • Stay current on emerging video, motion, AI, design, and B2B technology trends and proactively bring new creative approaches to the team.
