About The Position

SkyPilot accelerates the world's most ambitious AI teams by turning fragmented AI compute across clusters into one optimized, highly available, and easy-to-use pool. SkyPilot manages the GPU fleets of hundreds of companies and has raised over $20M in seed funding. As the first Motion Designer, you will define the visual language for SkyPilot's product story across various platforms, including product films, launches, campaigns, events, and social media. The role requires capturing the attention of a technical audience through exceptional craft and content, owning motion end-to-end, and setting the standard for the brand's movement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience producing technical product motion videos, ideally at startups targeting developer audiences (Seed to Series C stage).
• Experience producing motion videos for platforms such as X, LinkedIn, websites, and Instagram.
• A portfolio demonstrating high standards in motion, visual design, and craft.
• Ability to own motion assets end-to-end, from concept and storyboard to design and production.
• Strong taste and the ability to articulate design decisions to technical and marketing teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail in motion production.
• Comfort with ownership, ambiguity, focus on craft, and building a motion brand from scratch in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Define SkyPilot's product motion language, including principles, reusable assets, and production pipelines.
• Own motion across product, social, and events, with a primary focus on product motion but opportunities in other areas.
• Create launch films, conference loops, keynote and demo support, and short-form cuts for launches and events.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to create visuals that communicate complex ideas clearly.
