About The Position

This is a part-time position responsible for providing efficient guest service to all VLT guests and ensuring VLT machines are monitored on a continual basis for operation at maximum efficiency. The role involves actively patrolling assigned sections, enhancing the guest's VLT entertainment experience by creating a fun, high-energy environment, and developing customer loyalty through exceptional guest interactions. The attendant will communicate VLT floor functionality, respond to service requests, verify and counter-sign hand-paid jackpots, and resolve guest complaints. Additionally, the role includes maintaining the cleanliness and security of VLT areas, correcting minor machine malfunctions, participating in VLT machine upgrades, and adhering to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies. The attendant will also maintain monetary and paperwork accuracy, pay jackpots, perform buy-in transactions, and reconcile their bank/wallet at the end of the shift. Promoting JACK brand amenities, property events, and JACK Rewards is also a key responsibility, along with staying informed about promotions and maintaining in-depth game knowledge. The role supports "Project 21" to ensure compliance with state-mandated age restrictions and partners with other departments to promote property-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• Must possess basic data entry/computer skills.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and employees.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional days and hours.
• Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry.
• Must be able to turn key constantly.
• Must be able to stand, walk and maneuver around Racino VLT area for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel and twist.
• Must be able to handle a stressful environment, tolerate bright lights and high noise levels.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission license

Responsibilities

• Providing efficient guest service to all VLT guests.

• Responding to service requests including VLT dispatch, VLT candle lights, radio, and customers.
• Verifying and countersigning hand paid jackpots.
• Resolving guest complaints through the use of Service Recovery.
• Keeping VLT areas clean, secure, and well maintained.
• Correcting minor machine malfunctions including coin jams, printer errors, bill validators, VLT light repairs.
• Participating in VLT machine upgrades and implementing new initiatives.
• Adhering to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
• Maintaining monetary and paperwork accuracy within department standards.
• Accurately paying jackpots; performing buy-in transactions with VLT players; counting down and reconciling bank/wallet at end of shift.
• Promoting and cross selling JACK brand amenities and property events.
• Increasing customer base by opening new accounts through cross-selling and promoting JACK Rewards.
• Actively staying informed of continually changing promotional events and services.
• Maintaining in-depth game knowledge and proactively explaining games to customers.
• Offering participation in high-energy, team building “Buzz” sessions.
• Ensuring compliance of state mandated age restrictions through the support of “Project 21”.
• Endorsing the business objectives, ethics and values of JACK Entertainment.
• Partnering with other departments and functions to understand and promote property-wide initiatives and programs.
