About The Position

This position works under the direction of the Teen Learning Lab Manager to lead the implementation of instructional workshops and crash courses that introduce students to video and photo production concepts. The role involves creating and scheduling programming and events to engage students and facilitate student-driven initiatives by encouraging involvement in the space. Responsibilities include evaluating programming and special initiatives like summer camps and community outreach, developing procedures for student access and storage allocation, and managing materials and inventory. The instructor will optimize operations by implementing and evaluating hardware/software, working with students and stakeholders on outreach, and coordinating with the Educational Liaison Coordinator regarding academic standards. Additionally, the role involves creating and displaying educational materials, conducting needs assessments to develop teen services, constructing and executing video production and photo program curriculum, and collaborating with the Cloud90l Manager on various aspects of program improvement. The instructor will also attend professional trainings to enhance program quality and teen engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of instructional workshops and crash courses introducing students to video and photo production concepts.
  • Create and schedule programming and events to engage students and facilitate student-driven initiatives.
  • Evaluate programming and special initiatives, including summer camps and community outreach.
  • Develop procedures for student access and allocation of project storage in the Video Lab.
  • Manage materials and inventory for regular and special programming.
  • Optimize operations by implementing and evaluating hardware/software.
  • Work with students, community stakeholders, and library staff in outreach activities.
  • Coordinate with the Educational Liaison Coordinator regarding the incorporation of services with local school district academic standards.
  • Create, display, and provide tours of the lab to educate prospective students, parents, teachers, and funders.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify teen needs and develop services and programs.
  • Construct and execute video production and photo program curriculum and metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Cloud90l Manager on activities including personnel matters, reporting, training, and program improvement goals.
  • Attend professional trainings and workshops related to youth services.
