About The Position

JunkBondInvestor is an independent credit research and media business covering high yield bonds, leveraged loans, private credit, and BDCs, with a 75K-subscriber YouTube documentary channel. The Video Journalist will turn credit research and on-the-ground reporting into documentary-style video. The role is full-time and based in New York with a hybrid work arrangement. Freelance or contract arrangements may be considered to start. Applicants should include links to their best reported video work.

Requirements

• Experience as a video journalist, documentary producer, or business reporter.
• A portfolio of reported video work that the applicant shot and edited.
• Interest in finance and business.
• Comfort traveling for stories and working with a small team.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and produce documentary-style videos about companies, deals, and capital structures.
• Interview investors, operators, employees, and industry sources on camera.
• Visit sites and facilities to show what the numbers look like in real life.
• Work with the research team to turn written analysis into scripts and stories.
• Edit long-form pieces and short clips for YouTube, X, and other channels.
