About The Position

Goldin is seeking a highly creative and versatile Video Editor to join our growing content team. In this role, you will work closely with producers, digital content designers, social media managers, marketers, and cross-functional stakeholders to craft engaging video content that elevates storytelling across digital platforms, live events, and company initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about social-first storytelling, understands platform-specific pacing and viewing behaviors, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You should be someone who can seamlessly move between high-energy social media clips, polished long-form features, promotional campaigns, and various video projects across the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably within a content, media, sports, entertainment, or digital marketing environment.
  • Proven track record of editing high-retention video content specifically for social media platforms and digital-first audiences.
  • A strong demo reel or portfolio demonstrating exceptional pacing, narrative structure, audio design, experience in both 16:9 and 9:16 formats, and a sharp eye for modern social video aesthetics.
  • Advanced proficiency in professional post-production software, specifically: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition (or equivalent audio mixing tools), Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with or strong interest in utilizing generative AI video/audio tools—such as Premiere's text-based editing, AI audio enhancement, or auto-reframe tools—to accelerate cutting workflows and scale output.
  • Deep understanding of social media video hooks, viewer retention mechanics, and platform-specific formatting constraints.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple edit projects, work independently in a remote setting, and adapt quickly to breaking news or fast-changing asset deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience editing content focused on sports highlights, entertainment, digital creators, or unboxing/hype culture.
  • A passion for sports, pop culture, and collectibles is a major plus.
  • Familiarity with review and collaboration platforms like Frame.io, project management systems like Airtable, and Slack.
  • Basic understanding of camera hardware, lighting setups, and field audio recording processes to better support production handoffs.

Responsibilities

  • Edit compelling long-form and short-form video content tailored specifically for platforms including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, Facebook, and emerging digital channels.
  • Structure narratives, select music, pace cuts, mix audio, and apply color grading to ensure high-production value and maximum audience retention.
  • Partner with producers and digital content designers to integrate graphic assets, thumbnails, title cards, lower thirds, and motion design elements seamlessly into video timelines.
  • Reformat, re-pace, and optimize master video assets into high-performing vertical (9:16), square (1:1), and horizontal (16:9) variants optimized for platform-specific algorithmic success.
  • Maintain and uphold Goldin’s brand voice, visual guidelines, and quality standards across all video formats.
  • Organize raw footage, manage project files, archive assets, and streamline post-production workflows for speed and efficiency.
  • Stay current on social media video trends, editing styles, trending audio, and shifting platform features to continuously improve content performance.
  • Manage multiple edit queues simultaneously while maintaining strict creative standards, meeting tight deadlines, and contributing ideas to improve production efficiency.
