About The Position
Daydream is developing a live remixing engine for DAWs, allowing musicians to interact with AI-generated audio in real-time. The company is in its early stages of bringing this product to market and is seeking a video editor to create engaging content from raw footage.
Requirements
- Experienced video editor with a demonstrable body of work.
- Comfortable editing music-related content and understanding what makes DAW footage engaging.
- Fluency and speed in editing software (e.g., Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut).
- Understanding of platform-specific grammar, including aspect ratios, caption styles, hook timing, and pacing.
- Ability to produce high-quality edited video at scale.
- Comfortable viewing AI as a creative partner.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Ableton Live or a similar DAW.
- Experience growing a channel or account.
- Motion graphics skills.
- Sound design skills.
- Color grading skills.
Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage of Daydream in action into content suitable for various platforms.
- Create short-form clips for platforms like X, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, focusing on engaging moments and platform-specific pacing.
- Produce long-form content such as tutorials and workflow videos for YouTube, ensuring clear structure and pacing.
- Adapt content for different platforms, understanding their unique requirements for aspect ratios, captions, and algorithms.
- Collaborate closely with the Daydream team.
