About The Position

As our Video Editor, you’ll take ownership of creative output with a strong focus on performance impact across FoodScience’s portfolio of science-backed wellness brands. You will edit performance-focused video creative for paid social (Meta, TikTok, YouTube), CTV, and marketplaces, optimizing for hook, pacing, clarity, and conversion. You will also edit video content with a strong focus on hooks, pacing, storytelling, and retention. You will own post-production from ingest through delivery, including selects, assembly, color correction, audio cleanup/mixing, sound design, finishing, and exports. Additionally, you will version and resize assets at scale (aspect ratios, durations, languages, CTA/offer changes) while maintaining brand consistency and platform best practices. You will collaborate with Performance Marketing, Creative Strategy, and Design to translate briefs, hypotheses, and test plans into clear creative deliverables. You will build and maintain editable project templates, motion toolkits, and organized asset libraries to improve speed and consistency. You will develop and maintain post-production workflows, naming conventions, and QC standards, ensuring accurate captions, safe areas, and legal/compliance requirements. You will use performance insights to iterate creative (thumb-stopping hooks, messaging hierarchy, product proof, UGC pacing) and inform future edits. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate timelines/risks, and deliver on deadline in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience editing marketing or branded content with a strong portfolio (paid social or DTC performance work strongly preferred).
  • Solid fundamentals in storytelling, pacing, and editorial decision-making for short-form content (6–60 seconds) and mid-form (1–5 minutes).
  • Demonstrated motion graphics ability (type animation, compositing, transitions, basic character/shape animation).
  • Strong post-production finishing skills: basic color correction, audio cleanup/mixing, subtitles/captions, and export settings across platforms.
  • Experience producing diverse concepts (hooks, CTAs, offers, aspect ratios) with high attention to detail.
  • Thrives in a high-production environment and can maintain quality while moving quickly.
  • Social-native, with experience producing Instagram- and TikTok-style short-form, vertical content.
  • Familiar working with a creative strategist or media buyer, with a basic understanding of social advertising concepts.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback from multiple stakeholders and iterating quickly.
  • Excellent file organization and project hygiene (relinking, proxies, archiving, shared drive discipline).
