About The Position

Crypto Banter is hiring a creative, technically strong, crypto-native Video Editor / Videographer for its Cape Town team. The role is responsible for capturing and producing video content across the company's media channels, including live crypto shows and market commentary, YouTube features, short-form social clips, and behind-the-scenes content. The position requires turning market moments, trading insights, and strong opinions into engaging content that captures attention and drives engagement.

The successful candidate will handle video production end to end, from filming and storyboarding through editing, sound, and final delivery. They will also use AI-powered editing and production tools as a core part of their workflow, while delivering high-quality work quickly in a fast-moving crypto media environment. The role works closely with presenters, researchers, traders, and the broader content team.

The position is full-time, five days a week, and based at the Cape Town office. The opportunity offers creative ownership and the chance to contribute to how a globally recognised crypto media brand reaches its audience.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating filming and editing capabilities.
• Proven video production experience, including camera operation, lighting, audio, and post-production.
• Advanced AI editing skills, with AI tools as a core part of the creative workflow.
• Genuine interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain, trading, and Web3, with understanding of the language, culture, and audience.
• Strong storytelling instincts and understanding of what makes content engaging, shareable, and potentially viral.
• Experience creating long-form and short-form content for YouTube and social media platforms.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work full-time, five days a week, from the Cape Town office.

Responsibilities

• Film live shows, interviews, studio content, and other Crypto Banter productions.
• Own the end-to-end production process, including filming, storyboarding, editing, sound, and final delivery.
• Turn long-form shows and discussions into short-form clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X.
• Identify compelling moments from market discussions, breaking news, trading calls, and industry debates and develop them into engaging content.
• Use AI-powered editing and production tools to accelerate workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and explore creative possibilities.
• Deliver high-quality content with fast turnaround times.
• Collaborate with presenters, researchers, traders, and the wider content team to bring ideas to life.
