About The Position

Unity Communications is seeking a Freelance Video Editor/Content Creator to transform raw footage into polished, on-brand videos that drive performance. This role involves end-to-end ownership of the video production process, including editing, creating titles and thumbnails, managing the posting schedule, and analyzing performance metrics. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of video editing, YouTube SEO, and content strategy to ensure videos are visually appealing and achieve desired engagement.

Requirements

Proven experience editing video for YouTube or similar platforms (portfolio required).
Proficiency in editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar.
Working knowledge of YouTube SEO and analytics.
Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual branding.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.

Nice To Haves

Experience with motion graphics, animation, or short-form content (Shorts, Reels, TikTok).

Responsibilities

Edit raw footage into polished videos, including cuts, pacing, color correction, audio mixing, and adding motion graphics/captions as needed.
Write video titles, descriptions, and tags optimized for discovery.
Design or source compelling thumbnails.
Maintain a consistent posting schedule and content calendar.
Monitor channel performance (views, watch time, engagement) and adjust content approach based on results.
Ensure all content aligns with brand voice and guidelines.
Coordinate with the marketing team on content themes and campaign tie-ins.
