About The Position

This position exists to provide direct assistance to the head women’s basketball and assistant coaches in regards to video/ film exchange operations. The Video Coordinator is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of a video system program for the men’s basketball program. This person is responsible for the daily operations of video/film management for Women’s Basketball. The Video Coordinator is responsible for abiding by all conference, professional certification requirements, and NCAA regulations. Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, working with coaches to develop a preferred method of analyzing and presenting basketball film. This position will film all basketball games and practices. This position will provide coaches and student athletes with on-going training and development of technical skills related to video programs and edit basketball practice and games for coaches. This position will serve as a resource for the visiting team video coordinator; develop and implement a basketball video analysis and presentation program as well as working with proprietary third-party software company for annual maintenance. The Video Coordinator will be responsible for the computer video network; coordinate the scheduling and processing of video tape exchange with other schools. Maintain a video library for all sports video associated with the women’s basketball program. Work with video equipment and software supplier to maintain and update video equipment as needed. Monitor condition and usage of women’s basketball video equipment. When possible, serve as a resource to other sport programs as a source of advice. The video coordinator will be expected to assist with organizing on campus official & unofficial visits and assist in day-to-day operations. The Head Women’s Basketball Coach will assign other duties and special projects as necessary. This position should have a basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment. In addition, this position will be responsible for obtaining proper guidance or approval from Athletics Compliance, prior to participating in select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • A minimum of one (1) year of comparable experience.
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
  • Basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment.
