About The Position

The Miami Heat is seeking to hire a Video Control Room Intern for Arena Video Production. This internship provides valuable experience in the sports production industry, assisting in all stages of production from conception to live execution. Intern functions may include crafting motion graphics, gripping, engineering, camera operation, content management, general maintenance, and gameday production. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, adapt, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the sports entertainment industry.

Requirements

• Flexible working hours for HEAT home games and Kaseya Center events; must be able to attend all home Heat games and events.
• Must have a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and the ability to interact positively with fans, staff, players, coaches, and front office executives.

Nice To Haves

• Editing knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Programs.
• Familiarity with operating live Control Room equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update control room equipment during the season and offseason.
• Operate control room equipment on event days, including concerts.
• Assist Broadcast Services with daily tasks related to the Arena Control Room and other Arena locations.
• Maintain an organized system for physical and digital property of the Arena Control Room.
• Perform general office tasks such as logging games and activations, organizing calendars, creating documents, and graphical editing.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Director of Arena Video Production.
