About The Position
The Temporary Victim Witness Assistant will work with Victim Witness staff in providing assistance and services to victims and the Carver County Attorney's Office staff. This is a temporary position and will not extend beyond seven (7) months of start date. Hours will vary, including day, evening and weekend hours.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Complete and pass a background check, including fingerprinting and POR check
- Valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility
Responsibilities
- Schedule and attend interviews upon the request of the attorney or victim witness staff.
- Utilize available computer systems to research case status.
- Document all contacts accurately using internal databases.
- Escort victims to court appearances as requested.
- Complete correspondence to the victim.
- Participate in community outreach and education as sponsored by the Carver County Attorney's Office.
- Other projects as assigned.
