About The Position

The Victim Advocate/Litigation Paralegal provides support to survivors of sexual abuse through the legal process. The role is critical to ensure clients feel supported, informed and empowered while assisting attorneys with case development and progression. The ideal candidate combines trauma-informed communication skills with strong legal and organizational abilities. The Victim Advocate/Litigation Paralegal supports the mission and goals of Disparti Law Group by providing support to ensure smooth legal operations and exceptional customer service to clients, vendors and internal team members.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience in paralegal work (personal injury and civil litigation, preferred)
  • Two or more years of experience in social work, victim advocacy and counseling support
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and emotionally charged situations
  • Strong organization and case management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with sexual abuse/assault cases, trauma-informed care and working with vulnerable populations
  • Paralegal certification or relevant degree
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients through their cases
  • Build trust with clients through consistent, empathetic communication
  • Provide trauma-informed support while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Help clients understand: Case process and timelines What to expect during litigation Key decision and milestones
  • Monitor client well-being and flag concerns to attorneys, when appropriate
  • Reduce client anxiety, confusion and disengagement
  • Assist attorneys with: Drafting documents Discovery support Chronologies and case summaries
  • Organize and maintain case files (medical, therapy, school, etc.)
  • Coordinate with experts, medical providers and investigators
  • Track key deadlines and case milestones
  • Prepare clients for depositions, statements and key events
  • Proactively communicate with clients to prevent drop-off
  • Ensure clients remain responsive and engaged
  • Identify risks of disengagement early and escalate appropriately
  • Work closely with attorneys, intake team and litigation support staff
  • Provide insights into client sentiment and case readiness
