About The Position

The Vice President has responsibility for growing organic revenue with medium to highly complex clients through an integrated selling strategy. Manages sales results, maintains strong relationships with key client and prospect stakeholders and carriers. Serves as executive sponsor on their accounts, collaborating with Account Teams as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of benefits administration, HealthCare Reform, industry trends, carrier products and services
  • Ability to work independently and anticipate client and team needs
  • Effective time management and decision making skills
  • Diligent follow up skills
  • Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Commanding presentation and public speaking abilities
  • More than 10 years of directly related industry sales experience.
  • Insurance Broker's license required representing the coverages being sold. (e.g. P&C broker’s license or Life and Health broker's license.)

Responsibilities

  • Uses consultative approach to initiate, qualify and develop new business relationships; creates and maintains own list of prospects
  • Develops and initiates plans to increase sales, lower costs and continuously improve operations.
  • May lead a team to handle marketing, on-going service, and risk management.
  • Leads sales activities with more complex clients and prospects
  • Expected to produce at 125% of base quota per year
  • Meets key metrics including revenue and number of prospects in pipeline, meetings per months and closed sales.
  • Confers with senior sales leaders on setting targets and reports actual results.
  • Reviews sales results with members of sales team, strategizing changes and troubleshooting problems.
  • Influences policies and may monitors sales teams within office to ensure compliance.
  • May be involved in new hire selections and internal promotions that impact sales team.
  • Serves as mentor to junior sales team members; may be responsible to directly manage group of junior sales advisors
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key client and prospect stake holders and carrier representatives.
  • Acts as subject matter expert for company products and services.
  • Provides mentoring and coaching to team members.
  • May be involved in setting policies and the monitoring of offices within the region to ensure compliance.
  • May decide on all new hire selections and internal promotions.
