Teneo is seeking a highly skilled, dynamic, and motivated communications professional to join our Toronto, Calgary, or Montreal office.

Requirements

  • Possess strong writing skills and be able to draft, revise, and edit communications materials such as communication plans and other products
  • Ability to think creatively, approach communication from new angles, and manage both day-to-day account work and ad-hoc client requests
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in political communications or public affairs
  • Have a strong interest in business, politics, and geopolitical events
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, high professional standards, and a high level of commitment to their role
  • Be comfortable in a highly dynamic and intense environment
  • Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to develop and implement multi-platform communication strategies; a good understanding of digital communications is necessary

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic and communication plans and campaigns on behalf of clients
  • Effectively manage client accounts and programs
  • Key member, and often leader, of the ‘core account management team,’ working collaboratively with client teams and company leadership on client projects
  • Manage day-to-day account work, which involves producing and refining deliverables – including strategic plans, press releases, talking points, Q&As, briefing notes, and media materials disseminated
  • Implement team objectives and plans as a reliable and adaptable resource for senior team members, capable of overseeing others
