Vice President - Technology Procurement
About The Position
As a Vice President in Proxima’s IT and Technology practice, you will provide executive leadership across clients, teams, and the firm. The role combines deep domain expertise, client delivery, business development, and thought leadership. You will lead high-risk, high-growth client programs, shape long-term client strategy, and contribute to Proxima’s growth and market positioning. The position operates in a global, flexible, hybrid environment, balancing client, home, and office-based work. You will work closely with the global team and may spend time in other regions as required. Domestic and international travel is required as needed to support client delivery and collaboration across the global technology team.
Requirements
- Extensive consulting and leadership experience.
- 10+ years of experience in global IT procurement.
- Deep subject matter expertise in enterprise software, IT services, and/or cloud hosting.
- Experience with annual spend profiles over $50 million.
- Proven ability to influence C-suite and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial, financial, and strategic acumen.
- Executive gravitas and credibility.
- Ability to inspire confidence, challenge constructively, and drive change.
- Strong emotional intelligence and people leadership.
- Track record of growing teams, clients, and capabilities.
- Comfort balancing strategy and execution.
- Long-term perspective on value creation.
Responsibilities
- Lead executive-level client engagements and complex, high-value programs for senior and C-suite stakeholders.
- Shape and influence client strategy, vision, and transformation agendas.
- Ensure consistent delivery excellence and client satisfaction.
- Build and manage senior client relationships and pipelines.
- Identify and convert new growth opportunities.
- Contribute to Proxima’s market positioning and thought leadership.
- Mentor and develop senior consulting talent.
- Champion Proxima’s apprenticeship and feedback culture.
- Foster high-performance, inclusive teams.
- Lead domain expertise, intellectual property creation, and capability development.
- Act as a Proxima ambassador internally and externally.
- Influence strategic direction and firm-wide initiatives.
