About The Position

SpringWorks Therapeutics, a healthcare company of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to improving the lives of patients with rare tumors. We developed and are commercializing the first and only FDA and EC approved medicine for adults with desmoid tumors and the first and only FDA and EC approved medicine for both adults and children with neurofibromatosis type 1 associated plexiform neurofibromas (NF1-PN). Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (business or related disciplines)
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries
  • Minimum of 7+ related experience in leadership roles in marketing, sales and other commercial functions with experience in brand leadership, in-line marketing, specialty marketing, and P&L
  • 5+ years people leadership experience with 1 year managing multiple functions
  • Recent US launch experience in rare disease and/or oncology strongly preferred
  • Experience in managing commercial partnerships and co-promotions
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and developing teams in sales, marketing and related commercial functions
  • Strong matrix leadership

  • Recent experience leading teams and self in high growth, fast paced, and start-up like environments

Responsibilities

  • Leads the US Marketing Strategy and delivers the US P&L.
  • Manages the annual US revenue and operating plans and secures investments to achieve strong performance and ambitious growth targets for inline and launch brands.
  • Champions the Company as a leader in Rare Diseases by establishing strong relationships with patient, advocacy, and clinician communities, as well as promoting the Company as partner of choice with major stakeholders.
  • Serves as the internal subject matter expert regarding emerging trends in the US healthcare ecosystem, with a keen eye on its evolution and impact on rare disease and oncology management.
  • Drives prioritized focus towards patient identification as well as removal of barriers and enablement of access to care.
  • Provides subject matter expertise & thought leadership and supports the SVP and Head of Rate Tumors Franchise, NA with decision-making on critical business challenges and opportunities shaping the commercial business and briefs executive management on relevant US market developments to inform corporate strategy and development.
  • Drives the vision, design, and development of US Marketing capabilities, including roles, accountabilities, and systems, and ensures marketing function is scaled appropriately and offers insights and visibility on cross-functional capability needs.
  • Provides a clear vision for the US Commercial Organization for efforts related to marketing and brand management by driving engagement and alignment across business partners in the US, including Commercial sub-teams, Medical, Supply Chain, Corporate Affairs, Legal and Compliance, Regulatory, and other relevant stakeholders to achieve alignment on strategy and plans.
  • Shapes launch planning excellence and go-to-market strategies for the US. Serves as a subject matter expert and advisor on US product label development and competitive positioning of rare disease and oncology products.
  • Hires, mentors and develops talent in alignment with business needs and succession goals for Commercial and the broader Company, championing a learning and teaching environment.
  • Ensures US Commercial strategy reflects the voice of US patients and customers through oversight of insights and strategy development, working directly with functions to develop and maintain strong partnerships with key healthcare stakeholders.
  • Manages the US P&L, including growth and stability of revenue, delivering the monthly and annual financial goals, and continuously evaluating scenarios and opportunities to improve margin and profitability.
  • Partners as needed with global teams and represents the US on BD/in licensing opportunities, and around LCM strategies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
