About The Position

The Vice President of Total Rewards is responsible for the oversight of the design, communication, and management of compensation and benefit programs. This role implements enterprise compensation programs, practices, processes, and systems, including company-wide philosophy and guiding principles for pay delivery, job evaluation, market intelligence, salary administration, and sales compensation. The VP will devise and lead the execution of compensation studies, analyses, and metrics, ensuring regulatory compliance and the effectiveness of employee benefit programs. Additionally, this position is responsible for HRIS platform upgrades, leading day-to-day operations for Compensation, Wellness, and HRIS, establishing team goals, and developing dashboards and metrics for the Board and Spec Committee.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • 10 years experience in Human Resources with a focus on compensation design and benefits and/or additional human resource related professional courses are preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills; ability to explain governmental regulations to all levels of employees
  • Ability to identify and resolve sensitive issues and alert management to potential liability and supervisory/managerial issues
  • Ability to identify key data sources and utilize data driven insights to effectively improve business decisions and provide clarity.
  • Forward-thinking and creative individual with ability to perform strategically.
  • Strong project, time, and resource management and problem-solving skills to deliver projects and execute initiatives on time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly skilled in cross-functional collaboration by developing deep relationships and credibility with key partners across the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including mentorship, development, and growth of a team of highly capable professionals aligned for next level leadership opportunities.

Nice To Haves

  • M.B.A. or Master's Degree in Analytics, Finance, Operations, HR or a related field highly preferred.
  • SPHR, CEBS, CCP and other human resource certifications are highly desirable.
  • Previous exposure to financial institutions a plus.
  • Demonstrated successful implementation of HRIS platforms highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the oversight of the design, communication and management of compensation programs, (including incentives, executive, reward and recognition) and benefit programs.
  • Implement enterprise compensation programs, practices, processes, and systems; includes company-wide philosophy and guiding principles for pay delivery, job evaluation and market intelligence, salary administration, and sales compensation.
  • Devise and lead the execution of compensation studies, analyses and metrics supporting all functions, including role benchmarking, market competitiveness, and other total rewards programs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with FLSA, Equal Pay Act, ADA, EEO, ERISA and other applicable state and federal laws.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of employee benefit programs, policies and guidelines and recommend and implement plan revisions.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation and maintenance of HRIS platform upgrades as needed.
  • Leads day-to-day operations while utilizing team resources to ensure high touch across Compensation, Wellness and HRIS areas.
  • Establishing team goals, objectives and operating procedures. Ensuring team is continually evaluated, developed and trained in alignment with TDECU’s core values.
  • Develop and present dashboards and metrics to Board and Spec Committee.
