About The Position

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Vice President, Technology – M&A Integration & Separation to lead the technology strategy and execution for complex mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and separation initiatives. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a senior technology executive with deep technical expertise, strong commercial judgment and a proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs. The successful candidate will partner closely with Technology leadership, business stakeholders and the M&A Integration Management Office to shape and execute technology strategies that enable growth, operational excellence and successful deal outcomes. You will join Thomson Reuters' M&A integration and separation organization — a fast-paced, high-performing team at the center of enterprise transformation. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership across both business and technology teams, helping translate deal objectives into executable technology plans. We are seeking a leader who can move seamlessly between enterprise-level strategy, executive decision-making and hands-on problem solving and execution when required.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including leadership of complex enterprise-scale initiatives.
  • Deep technology expertise and credibility with senior technologists, engineering leaders and business executives.
  • Proven experience leading technology workstreams for mergers, acquisitions, integrations, separations or divestitures.
  • Experience operating in complex, matrixed global organizations.
  • Strong commercial orientation, with experience partnering with product, strategy or business owners to support growth, revenue expansion and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from deeply technical teams to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize input from multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts into clear, concise and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience developing executive-level materials, including strategic roadmaps, integration plans, business cases, risk assessments and decision frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technology aspects of M&A integration, separation and divestiture initiatives.
  • Partner with product, technology and business leaders across Thomson Reuters to understand priorities, assess impacts and align technology strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to senior management, business technology teams and functional organizations.
  • Serve as a thought leader in executive workshops, leadership forums and cross-functional planning sessions.
  • Develop strategic updates, vision documents, executive briefings, reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong executive presence when presenting to Thomson Reuters executives, customers, partners and external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership in assessing integration complexity, technology risks, cost estimates and synergy opportunities associated with potential acquisitions or separations.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders to ensure technology decisions support deal value, operational continuity and long-term scalability.
  • Identify risks, dependencies and trade-offs, and provide clear recommendations to support timely executive decision-making.
