About The Position

MDLinx, an M3 company, is hiring a Vice President, Technology and Product to build and launch next-generation physician engagement products and services. This builder role combines product and engineering leadership, with a focus on understanding physicians and pharmaceutical clients, developing useful and engaging experiences, and measuring impact. The VP reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and oversees technology initiatives, product and engineering teams, and scalable solutions for timely, relevant experiences for U.S. healthcare professionals. The role owns the MDLinx product vision and roadmap across physician-facing experiences and pharma engagement products, leading product, design, and engineering as an integrated team. It emphasizes rapid experimentation, working prototypes, regular engagement with physicians and pharma clients, and a forward-deployed engineering model that turns client engagements into prototypes and proven value into platform capabilities. The VP leads application development and data engineering, establishes AI-native development practices, and ships AI capabilities such as personalization, recommendations, and content intelligence. The role also owns first-party data strategy, product instrumentation, technical direction, and architecture for a modular platform that supports rapid deployment and experimentation while meeting M3 USA engineering standards and technology plans. MDLinx is transforming from endemic offerings toward omnichannel pharmaceutical brand engagement, aiming to deliver the right message to the right physician at the right time and on the right channel. Its goal is to provide personalized HCP engagement programs that support disease-state and brand knowledge, lead generation, and customer conversion.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in product and engineering.
  • 5+ years leading product, design, and engineering as one integrated team, with managers reporting to you.
  • Experience taking a product from its first idea through first paying customers as a founder, early employee, or leader of a new venture within a larger company, with specific measurable results.
  • Experience building engagement products with proven retention, such as interactive, community, or personalized experiences, with evidence of impact on return visits and depth of engagement.
  • Experience setting up and running a forward-deployed engineering model or comparable embedded model, with engineers working directly alongside clients and business stakeholders.
  • Experience making and owning architecture decisions for a high-traffic production platform with high-availability requirements on modern cloud and event-driven infrastructure.
  • Experience with AI coding agents as a standard development practice and ability to demonstrate effects on cycle time and output.
  • Experience shipping production LLM applications, recommendation systems, and real-time personalization to users.
  • Experience with first-party data, including event instrumentation, identity resolution, unified profiles, and activation through a customer data platform, designed privacy-first.
  • Experience with A/B testing, feature flags, and rollback infrastructure, and statistical judgment to distinguish meaningful signal from noise.
  • Ability to distinguish engagement metrics from insight into what users know and believe.
  • Ability to keep teams small and fast, ship rapidly, and hold teams accountable for results that matter to physicians and clients.
  • Ability to make product decisions quickly based on evidence and communicate technical tradeoffs to varied audiences.
  • Ability to operate autonomously within a larger organization and work within M3 USA standards.

  • Own the MDLinx first-party data strategy with the data engineering team for product and commercial use.
  • Lead generative AI for content creation, summarization, curation, and medical literature analysis.
  • Build recommendation and real-time personalization engines, along with predictive models for content affinity and engagement propensity.
  • Own technical direction and architecture using a modular, composable platform designed for rapid deployment and experimentation.
  • Architect infrastructure to capture, unify, and activate physician behavioral signals, including unified physician profiles, for product and commercial use.
  • Make evidence-based decisions about whether to scale, retire, or redeploy product experiments.
