About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Vice President of Behavioral Health in Jacksonville, Fl to provide strategic, clinical, and administrative leadership across the health system’s comprehensive behavioral health service lines. This executive role oversees inpatient, partial hospitalization, outpatient, managed care, and emergency behavioral health services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care delivery and operational excellence. We are looking for a dynamic healthcare leader with a proven track record in behavioral health operations, program development, and multidisciplinary team leadership. The Vice President will drive system-wide initiatives focused on access, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and growth of behavioral health services.

Requirements

• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health or healthcare operations required.
• Experience with inpatient and outpatient behavioral health program oversight required.
• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Behavioral Health, or related field required.
• Florida Nursing License Required

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated success in managing multi-site or system-level behavioral health services preferred.
• Doctoral degree or advanced clinical licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for all behavioral health departments across the continuum of care.
• Oversee clinical operations, program development, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with physician leadership, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Lead strategic planning, service line growth, and expansion of behavioral health programs.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation.
• Drive patient experience, safety, and evidence-based care practices.
• Foster strong relationships with community partners and managed care organizations.
